 5 inch gauge springbok at romney model engineering club springbock LNER b1 4-6-0 steam locomotive The Class B1 was designed by Edward Thompson for use on medium mixed traffic work on the LNER network. A huge number were built as the class were the equivalent to the highly successful GWR Hall and LMS ‘Black Five’ classes.
